High school basketball: North Hall girls dominate Jackson County on opening night

Grace Hollifield scored a game-high 24 points and Rylee McCall added 17 for the North Hall girls in a 67-34 win against Jackson County on Thursday. On Tuesday, North Hall visits Habersham Central in Mount Airy.

FLOWERY BRANCH GIRLS 48, OCONEE COUNTY 39: Ashlee Locke scored a team-high 16 points for the Lady Falcons (2-0), while Keidra Young added 14 on Thursday.

OCONEE COUNTY BOYS 64, FLOWERY BRANCH 43: Judson Burney scored 19 points to lead the way for the Falcons. Trevor Gurske added nine. 

WEST HALL BOYS 76, LANIER CHRISTIAN ACADEMY 53: Sawyer Passmore scored 30 points to power the Spartans past the Lightning. Quincy Holcolmb added 11, while Chase Reed rounded out the double-digit scorers with 10. 

Stephen Clark led the way for Lanier Christian with 16 points, while Thomas Avery had 10. 

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY GIRLS 72, LANDMARK CHRISTIAN 36: Eliza Snyder scored 26 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the Lady Lions, while Joelle Snyder contributed 17 points and five steals. Jackie Allen had a 13-point, 10-rebound double-double for Lakeview Academy.

Up next, the Lady Lions will take on Roswell at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
