G-Braves blown out at home

The Indianapolis Indians scored three runs in the third inning and two more in the fifth en route to a 10-2 win over the Triple-A Gwinnett Braves on Wednesday at Coolray Field. Eric Junge took the loss for the G-Braves, allowing five runs and nine hits over four innings. Jose Constanza and Tyler Pastornicky each went 2 for 5 for Gwinnett, and Lance Zawadzki went 2 for 4.

Police charge Gwinnett Braves player with rape

ATLANTA — A player for the Gwinnett Braves has been accused of raping a woman while on a trip to Columbus, Ohio. WGCL-TV (http://bit.ly/1KpmXCh) reports Elmer Reyes has been charged with kidnapping and rape in connection with the weekend incident at a Columbus hotel. Reyes is an infielder for the Braves.
