North Hall High sophomore Cody Barger set a school record of nine minutes, 31.9 seconds to claim the Class AAA state title in the 3200-meter run Friday in Jefferson.

With 200 meters left in the race, Barger took the lead from Woodward Academy’s Nathan Massey, who finished second with a time of 9:36.

North Hall senior Nolan Clark finished third with a time of 9:48.

Today is the final day of the Georgia Olympics.
