The North Hall boys put on a dominant showing, led by overall champion Corson Teasley, to earn the title in the West Hall Invitational on Tuesday.
Teasley, who ran a time of 15 minutes, 59 seconds, was one of four Trojans to place in the top 10. Others for the North Hall boys in the top 10 included Tommy Johnston (third place, 16:12), Eli Parker (ninth place, 16:57) and Gregor Sebba (16:59, 10th).
Johnson senior Junior Suarez, the defending Hall County champion, placed second (16:12).
Following North Hall, Chestatee placed second, Buford earned third and Johnson was fourth. The War Eagles were led by Ivan Martin, who placed fifth with a time of 16:37. Leading Buford was Andone Mendoza, who ran a sixth-place time of 16:45.
Isaac Hernandez was also in the top 10 for Johnson with a fourth-place time of 16:32.
In the girls’ race, North Hall placed first, White County was second and Dawson County earned third.
Three-time region champion Jenna Gearing, of White County, won the girls race with a time of 18 minutes, 36 seconds.
Her time was 1:23 faster than second-place finisher Jaelen Alexander, who is also from White County. Leading North Hall were Mattie Bohanon (sixth place, 20:37) and Mary McGarry (10th place, 21:06).
Dawson County’s Frankie Muldoon earned third place with a time of 20:11, while Buford’s Lauryn Davidson was fourth (20:17).
