Nine Hall County players landed on the 2016-17 Georgia Athletic Coaches Association All-State girls basketball teams released this week.

The squads are divided into North and South regions, with all area players being named to the former.

Flowery Branch’s Taniyah Worth and Julianne Sutton both received the recognition after helping their team reach its first-ever state semifinal. Worth was also selected to the Georgia Junior All-Star Team, which has a showcase set for 11 a.m. April 1 at Brunswick High.

West Hall also produced two All-State players in Macy Passmore and Anna McKendree, the latter of whom was named Class AAAA North Co-Player of the Year and received a spot on the Georgia Junior All-Star Team.

Gainesville’s Taylor Hawks, Chestatee’s Lindsey Caudell, East Hall’s Kylah Mize, North Hall’s Taylor Anne Kelley and Lakeview Academy’s Hanna Grogan received All-State honors, as well.

Hawks earned a spot on the Georgia Senior All-Star Team.
