High school scoreboard: Rob Collison pitches Lakeview Academy to 10-5 win over West Hall

Rob Collison threw four innings of two-hit ball for Lakeview Academy in a 10-5 win against West Hall on Friday in Gainesville. Rett Kinsey threw two innings in relief with only two hits allowed, while delivering two hits and a pair of RBIs at the plate.

Gabe McConnell, Bailey Whitlock and Logan Barwick each had two hits and multiple runs scored.

On Monday, Lakeview faces Johnson at 5:55 p.m. in Oakwood.

GAINESVILLE 9, APALACHEE 2: Sam Carpenter pitched four innings and allowed two hits for the Red Elephants (5-1, 2-0 Region 8-AAAAA) on Friday at Ivey-Watson Field. Carpenter also chipped in three hits at the plate with two runs and two RBIs.

Senior Jonathan Gettys had a two-run homer for Gainesville. Banks Griffith and Fedrick Cardona each added a pair of hits for the Red Elephants.

On Monday, Gainesville visits Flowery Branch at 5:55 p.m.

Soccer
GAINESVILLE GIRLS 10, CLARKE CENTRAL 0: Breana Fair and Alyssa Turner each had a hat trick Friday night.
Margaret Carpenter, Cindy Bonilla, Madi Lochstampsor and Aneesa Jones were the other goal scorers for the Lady Red Elephants.

Gainesville (5-1, 3-0) visit Oconee County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

RIVERSIDE MILITARY 5, SOCIAL CIRCLE 0: Jorge Quesada scored the first two goals Friday night in Gainesville.

Carlos Pablovish also scored two goals and had an assist, while Samuel Palmer had a goal and an assist.

Riverside Military hosts Winder-Barrow at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

FLOWERY BRANCH BOYS 2, APALACHEE 1: Jason Acosta scored the winning goal for the Falcon on an assist from Alexis Jimenez with 1:28 remaining in overtime on Friday. Jimenez also scored the first goal of the night for Flowery Branch, which visits Lanier at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

FLOWERY BRANCH GIRLS 2, APALACHEE 1: Rachel Cohn scored in the 15th minute with an assist from Halie Windish for the Lady Falcons (2-4, 1-0 Region 8-AAAAA) on Friday. Six minutes later, Allyson Lusco scored for Flowery Branch.

Kelsey Mathis recorded four saves in goal for the Lady Falcons.

DAWSON COUNTY BOYS 6, NORTH HALL 2: Jairo Barrientos scored on a free kick, and his brother Joel Barrientos scored on a kick from 30 yards out for the Trojans (1-3-2) on Friday in Dawsonville. On Tuesday, North Hall hosts Johnson starting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

WEST HALL BOYS 3, FANNIN COUNTY 0: Sergio Hernandez, Roberto Cervantes and Juan Hernandez each scored a goal for the Spartans (2-1-1, 1-0 Region 7-AAA) on Friday in Blue Ridge. On Tuesday, West Hall visits Greater Atlanta Christian in Lilburn.

LUMPKIN COUNTY BOYS 5, LAKEVIEW ACADEMY 2: Raunaq Sharif and Bryce Kimball scored for the Lions (2-3-1) on Friday in Gainesville. Ben Eades recorded 10 saves for the Lions.
On Tuesday, Lakeview Academy hosts Hebron Christian at 7 p.m.

Tennis
GAINESVILLE GIRLS 3, SOUTH FORSYTH 2: Katherine Wright and Ali Waggoner won in singles play for the Lady Red Elephants (3-0) on Friday in the first round of the South Forsyth High tournament in Cumming. At No. 1 doubles, Gainesville won with Paige Patterson and Madi Kiser. Gainesville will face Buford and West Forsyth in matches today in Cumming.
