The Chestatee boys basketball team finished third overall in the third annual Community Bank and Trust Piedmont College Classic after defeating Habersham Central 56-49 on Friday, losing to Hart County 87-69 on Saturday and defeating Commerce 66-58 on Monday in Demorest.
Lamar Brooks averaged 23.6 points per game and Jackson Chandler averaged 15.3 points per game to lead the War Eagles (5-7).
Chasten Howard led the Raiders (5-5, 1-4 Region 8A-AAAA) with nine points in the loss.
Tyler Gamble scored 18 points and Anthony Norris scored 13 to lead the Tigers (3-3, 2-0 Region 8-A) in the loss.
Habersham Central returns to action in the Walhalla Tournament in Walhalla, (S.C.) on Dec. 28.
Commerce visits Social Circle at 6 p.m. Jan. 5.
Chestatee plays host to White County at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 5.
DAWSON COUNTY BOYS 56, FELLOWSHIP CHRISTIAN 43: Stephen Scaife scored 30 points to lead the Tigers on Monday night at the Pacelli-Christmas tournament in Columbus.
Jacob Evans added double-double, scoring 10 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.
Dawson County (10-3) faces Pacelli at 4:30 p.m. today.
WHITE COUNTY BOYS 88, OGLETHORPE COUNTY 51: Luke Crumley recorded a double-double and scored 25 points and grabbed 19 rebounds to lead the Warriors on Saturday.
Tyler Dotson added 16 points in the win.
White County (4-4) plays host to Creekview at 4:30 p.m. Jan. 2.
