UGA's Morgan named SEC Player of Week; UGA-Vandy start time announced

BIRMININGHAM, Ala. — LSU quarterback Zach Mettenberger, Florida defensive back Loucheiz Purifoy and Georgia placekicker Marshall Morgan are the Southeastern Conference players of the week.

The SEC named its weekly winners on Monday.

Morgan kicked the game-winning 42-yard field goal in No. 7 Georgia's overtime win over Tennessee and scored 10 points.

Offensive line honors went to Georgia guard Chris Burnette. Missouri end Michael Sam is defensive lineman of the week.

Georgia/Vanderbilt kickoff time set

The Saturday, Oct. 19, football game between Georgia and Vanderbilt in Nashville will be televised by CBS with kickoff set for noon ET.

The game is part of a CBS doubleheader which will be followed by Auburn at Texas A&M at 3:30 p.m. This will mark Georgia's third appearance on CBS this season.

Overall, the Bulldogs have appeared on CBS 74 times and posted a record of 43-30-1.
