Gainesville’s Tim Moon captured another national championship in the bench press, locking out 805 pounds at the World United Amateur Powerlifters US Nationals on Saturday in Peoria, Illinois. Moon, 53, hit his winning mark on his third lift, after missing on his second lift at 777. After claiming victory and best lifter status for the meet, he attempted but missed on 826, trying to beat his world-record of 821.
