Brenau University softball players Tiffany Schandera and Jenny Shepherd have been named to the 2011 All-American first team, announced Friday by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.

Schandera, a sophomore, was previously honored as the 2011 Southern States Athletic Conference Player of the Year, while Shepherd was the SSAC's Co-Freshman of the Year.

Also for Brenau, sophomore pitcher Anna Maness was named an All-American honorable mention.
