Letter: Returned wallet, minus money, is no great favor
Placeholder Image

To the person who found my wallet at the Wal-Mart store in Cornelia, I really appreciate you turning it in without my money in it. I really hope you used the money wisely as it was to pay my light bill.

So for you taking my money, I do not thank you. I would have given you a reward for finding it and turning it in, but you saw fit to pay your own self the reward with my light bill money.

And, by the way, I am a retired, disabled senior citizen on a fixed income and I’m sure you know by going through my wallet that I am an honorably discharged U.S. Army veteran.

I sincerely hope you have a happy new year, but I hope it is not with someone else’s money.
