A Gainesville car accident victim was flown to a hospital with serious injuries Wednesday night, according to Georgia State Patrol officials.

The accident happened around 8 p.m. on Dawsonville Highway near Sardis Road.

Though few details about the wreck have been released, state patrol officials confirmed a vehicle overturned and struck a tree.
