Times seeks memories of Pearl Harbor
pearlharbor
Three U.S. battleships are hit from the air during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941. Japan’s bombing of U.S. military bases at Pearl Harbor brought the U.S. into World War II. From left are: USS West Virginia, severely damaged; USS Tennessee, damaged; and USS Arizona, sunk.

The Times is planning coverage of the 75th anniversary of Japan’s Dec. 7 attack on Pearl Harbor.

Anyone with memories of that momentous day, which pulled America into World War II, is asked to contact reporter Jeff Gill at 770-718-3408 or jgill@gainesvilletimes.com.
