The Hall County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the stabbing of a 16-year-old gang member. They believe the incident, which occurred Monday afternoon on Bob Bryant Road, is the result of an altercation between members of two known street gangs: Mexican Vatos Society and La Onda.
The gang members are not cooperating with investigators, and have not provided information about who may have stabbed the 16-year-old member of Mexican Vatos Society, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.
Authorities originally became aware of the gang fight after responding to a 1 p.m. call of a possible stabbing at the QuikTrip on U.S. 129. They found the victim, a 16-year-old male, had been driven to the gas station by his fellow gang members after the fight on Bob Bryant Road.
The 16-year-old later underwent surgery at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. A 15-year-old was also treated and released at the hospital for injuries related to the fight.
Jessica Florres, a 21-year-old Gainesville resident, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of hydrocodone in connection with the altercation, according to the news release.
