Oakwood City Council plans to hold a public hearing at 4 p.m. Friday on a partial update of its comprehensive plan.

The city is required to complete the update, good for two years, this month, according Georgia Department of Community Affairs rules.

A complete update is expected in June 2011, said Larry Sparks, planning director.

The hearing will take place in City Hall, 4035 Walnut Circle.

In the meantime, the public can review a draft of the update at City Hall between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. through Friday.
