Winter isn't turning loose of Northeast Georgia just yet.

Hall County is among those in the area under a freeze warning from the National Weather Service tonight as temperatures drop near 32 degrees before morning. The warning is in effect for 2 to 10 a.m. and covers nearly all of North Georgia.

Residents are advised to protect sensitive vegetation and young trees that may be susceptible to the cold.

Temperatures are only expected to reach the lower 50s on Saturday under clear skies, then dip back into the lower 30s again overnight into Sunday, with a freeze watch in effect from midnight to 10 a.m. A slow warming trend will carry into the early part of the week, with a chance of showers returning Monday.
