A fire that burned a Price Road home early Monday was the result of arson, officials said Tuesday.

Hall County Fire Marshal Scott Cagle said the fire at a 3,000-square-foot house at 5654 Price Road was intentionally set in "multiple points of origin." He declined to say how the fire was believed to have been started.

The fire, which broke out about 4:30 a.m. Monday, caused an estimated $250,000 in damage.

The owner of the home, Sepideh Sarafi, was not at home at the time of the fire.

Anyone with information is asked to call Hall County Fire Services at 770-531-6838. A reward of up to $10,000 is available.
