Northeast Georgia Medical Center is holding free educational seminars on lung cancer Nov. 10 and Nov. 17.
The American Cancer Society says approximately 1 in 14 men and 1 in 17 women will develop lung cancer at some point in their lifetime.
Registration and a free light supper will be at 6 p.m. A panel discussion will follow at 6:30 p.m. both days.
The Nov. 10 event is at Walters Auditorium on the hospital’s Gainesville campus, while the Nov. 17 event is in the Education Center of the hospital’s Braselton campus.
A physician panel, including a pulmonologist, radiologist, thoracic surgeon and radiation oncologist, will answer questions about prevention, screening and treatment options for lung cancer.
The seminar is free, but registration is required. For more information or to register, call 800-347-1416 or register online at www.nghs.com/lung-seminar.
