A missing Gainesville woman who suffers from dementia was found OK Tuesday night in a local hotel.

Francis Virginia Brown had last been seen at 5:20 a.m. Sunday morning leaving Northeast Georgia Medical Center at 743 Spring St. in Gainesville. She was visiting her husband at the hospital but was not at home when he returned this morning to their residence on Takeda Drive and had not contacted any family members since Sunday.

Gainesville police investigators found Brown’s vehicle around 8 p.m. Tuesday in a parking lot of a local hotel where she was a registered guest.

Investigators talked with Brown, who was in good health and was returned to family members. Investigators were unable to determine why she had registered at the hotel.
