Missing Flowery Branch man found safe

James Wesley Bruce was reported missing Thursday from his Cinnamon Cove Condominiums off of Gaines Ferry Road.

A Flowery Branch man reported missing Thursday was found safe Friday morning, Hall County Sheriff's officials said.

The pastor at Spirit of Joy Church off Hog Mountain Road found James Wesley Bruce, 71, in the church parking lot at about 7 a.m.

Bruce was reported missing Thursday from his Cinnamon Cove Condominiums off Gaines Ferry Road. Bruce has trouble communicating after suffering a heart attack and brain injury in 2004.

Sheriff's officials said he drove away Thursday afternoon in a gray 2003 Ford Taurus. Deputies from Hall County and surrounding counties searched for Bruce throughout the night.
