Need a job? There’s a whole bunch coming very soon to Gainesville.

The owners of a holding company for two custom shutter and window covering manufacturers have announced consolidation plans that include moving corporate and manufacturing headquarters to Gainesville Industrial Park South.

American Home Products plans to hire 210 new employees at the location, which will include 270,000-square-feet of manufacturing space and 30,000 square feet of office space.

Located at 1215 Palmour Drive in Gainesville, the building has been unoccupied since 2009.

The holding company, American Home Products, expects to begin production late this year with complete consolidation of its West Coast operations in 2016.

“We are excited to begin renovations on the new home for our manufacturing and corporate offices,” said Jim Tortorelli, co-CEO of American Home Products. “The core values of our organization are to recruit, hire and train motivated and inspired people so that we can deliver the best possible customer experience.”

Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Kit Dunlap said the company is “a welcome addition to Gainesville-Hall County’s business community ... the jobs and investment American Home Products will provide is exciting.”

American Home Products is the holding company for The Louver Shop and Danmer Custom Window Coverings.

Job seekers can bring or send applications to the Gainesville Career Center of the Georgia Department of Labor at 2756 Atlanta Highway, Gainesville, GA 30504.
