The Hall County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the shooting death of a 45-year-old Snellville man.

Authorities have yet to release the name of the victim. Next of kin had not been identified as of late Monday.

Deputies responded to a 911 call at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday about a possible shooting and found the man on the ground next to his pickup truck at Belton Bridge Park, said Col. Jeff Strickland, sheriff’s office spokesman.

Belton Bridge, a day-use park on Lake Lanier operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, is off Belton Bridge Road near Ga. 365 in North Hall.

The man had been shot several times, Strickland said. Investigators have ruled the death a homicide. No arrests have been made.
