Hall County Fire Services battled high winds Saturday in fighting a commercial fire in the 3800 block of Athens Highway near the Hall-Jackson County Line.

Fire Marshal and Battalion Chief Scott Cagle reported the fire was burning at a pallet company, “so the fire load is heavy” and said it would burn for a while. High winds hampered efforts to battle the blaze.

An investigator was at the scene, Cagle said. There is yet no known cause for the fire.
