The council OK’d an $8.3 million budget for 2020, keeping city services the same, with no additional staff and property tax rate hike planned.

The budget features $697,000 in capital improvements program, including City Hall improvements and City Park “water features and improvements.”

The city is considering replacing its community swimming pool with a splash pad. The city is looking at something similar to the Sprayground at Laurel Park at 3100 Cleveland Highway in North Hall.

The new budget year will begin Jan. 1.
