Authorities have issued an Amber Alert as they continue the search for a girl who went missing in Alpharetta on Saturday night and previously went missing this past summer from Hall County.

The alert went out at 2:36 a.m. Wednesday regarding Brooklyn Smith, 13, and Desire Hall, 16, though the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety said later Wednesday morning that Hall was found.

Smith is believed to be with her father, Steven Keith Spires, 32, traveling in a 2011 black Ford Taurus with the Georgia license plate number CAY7195.

Spires was arrested and faced multiple felony charges in Spalding County after Smith’s summer disappearance.

Law enforcement found Hall walking in a hotel parking lot in Covington, according to George Gordon, spokesman for the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety.

The Amber Alert said Spires “abducted” Smith and Hall at 8:48 p.m. Saturday night after Alpharetta law enforcement previously said Smith and Hall left the business of Main Event in Alpharetta while in the care of the Division of Family and Children Services. Gordon said he believes Smith was with a caregiver family when she and Hall “intentionally” walked away.

Authorities don’t have any footage of Smith with Spires, Gordon said, but they also haven’t been able to locate Spires.

“There’s a significant search going on for them,” Gordon said.

Smith is roughly 5 feet tall and weighs 100 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a camouflage jacket and pants, a Florida Georgia Line band T-shirt and cowboy boots.

Spires is 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds and has short brown hair and blue eyes.

Smith was previously reported missing July 27 and discovered Aug. 7 in Spalding County.
