Freeze warning issued overnight for North Georgia
After a cold Saturday morning, gorgeous weekend will follow

Today's morning frost is expected to turn to a hard freeze overnight.

The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for North Georgia tonight through 10 a.m. Saturday.

Temperatures are expected to remain in the 50s during the day and drop into the low 30s to upper 20s overnight. The low in Gainesville is expected to be 33, with areas to the north several degrees colder.

Residents are advised to care for sensitive plants and make sure pets have warm shelter.

High temperatures are expected to rebound into the low 60s by Saturday with clear, sunny skies and warmer temperatures through the weekend.
