Flowery Branch City Council clears way for gun shop

A gun sales shop is on its way to downtown Flowery Branch. City Council voted unanimously Thursday night to lease city-owned property at 5318 Railroad Ave. to John Dempsey of JDEMDOG Enterprises. Dempsey is fully licensed by the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and “has the appropriate insurance,” according to a city agenda document.
