A mobile home caught fire Thursday night as a result of a fireplace in the home, Hall County Fire Services reported.

All of the residents were out of a South Hall mobile home Thursday night when firefighters tackled a fire there.

Hall County firefighters responded to the 7300 block of Williams Road around 7:20 p.m. Thursday.

Heavy fire was showing from the mobile home with an addition on the back.

“An aggressive interior attack was utilized to extinguish the fire and confine it to the room of origin,” Capt. Zachary Brackett wrote in an email.

The home had smoke damage throughout, though no people were injured.

“The cause was determined to be accidental in nature and resulted from a fire in the fireplace that extended into the home,” Brackett said.

Damage is estimated at $20,000.
