Interstate 985 Northbound was shut down Wednesday afternoon with a multi-vehicle crash, according to Gainesville Fire spokesman Keith Smith.

The crash occurred around 4 p.m. near mile marker 18. Several vehicles were involved, and at least one vehicle burned.

One northbound lane reopened around 5:50 p.m., but a second accident near exit 17 caused another lane closure.

No information was available on injuries or fault.
