Deal signs boating safety law

The Prince family, center, and Tameka Raymond, left, watch Tuesday afternoon as Gov. Nathan Deal signs a boating safety bill named for Jake and Griffin Prince, two boys who died in a boating accident last summer on Lake Lanier, and Raymond’s son, Kile Glover, who also died in a boating incident last summer on the lake.
Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal said Tuesday he hopes Lake Lanier will be safer this summer after he signed into law new boating safety regulations at the Holiday Marina. Two accidents that killed three children on the lake last summer promoted Deal to make boating safety a priority this year.
