Dahlonega rehabilitation center moving Tuesday

Starting Tuesday, a Dahlonega physical therapy center will have a new location.

The Rehabilitation Institute in Dahlonega, a service of Northeast Georgia Medical Center, is moving to 95 Morrison Moore Parkway.

The center will be housed in Suite 200 of the Northeast Georgia Physicians Group Dahlonega building. The Rehabilitation Institute offers outpatient physical therapy services for patients recovering from surgery or injury.

The office is staffed by physical therapist Dr. Kristen Jagger, physical therapy assistant Christine Blumberg and office manager Debbie Whiting.

Jagger is a physical therapist and the clinic coordinator at The Rehabilitation Institute. Jagger earned her doctoral degree in biomechanics at the University of Florida.

She also is a former physical therapy faculty member at North Georgia College & State University and Western Carolina University.

She has taught clinical biomechanics and orthopaedic rehabilitation practices to students pursuing both doctoral and master’s degrees in physical therapy.

She brings 14 years of clinical experience and knowledge to the Dahlonega practice.

Jagger’s areas of expertise include general orthopaedics, and injuries related to cycling and running.

Blumberg has worked with Northeast Georgia Medical Center as a physical therapy assistant for seven years and has a total of 17 years of outpatient orthopedic therapy experience. She received her bachelor of science degree from North Georgia College and her associate degree in applied science as a licensed physical therapy assistant from Gwinnett Technical College.
