Hong Vuong has been chosen Employee of the Year by Northeast Georgia Health System during the second of three events this week to recognize long-tenured employees for their service.
Vuong works in the South Patient Tower Cafeteria. She joined NGHS in 2009 and was recognized as Employee of the Month last July.
“More than once, Hong has been described as the nicest person that works in this organization,” said Carol Burrell, president and CEO. “When she is not on the register with a customer, she is busy cleaning stations or helping visitors with their selections. She is never one to stand around.”
Vuong and her husband David have two children.
“Our mother taught us to reach for the stars and have a drive that never stops,” says Vuong’s son, Daniel, a student at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University majoring in aerospace engineering. “There is no doubt that this award is wholeheartedly deserved, and that she exemplifies those traits in what she does.”
During all three Service Award Banquets this week, NGHS recognized 604 employees for their tenure: 282 for five years of service, 226 for 10-15 years of service and 96 for 20-40 years of service.
