Newsmakers in business: Pair of local banks named to Top 200 Healthiest in US

Chattahoochee Bank of Georgia has been named to the DepositAccounts’ 2016 list of its Top 200 Healthiest Banks in America for the third straight year. It ranks No. 14 on the list.

The Gainesville bank located at 643 E.E. Butler Parkway earned an A+ in Texas ratio, deposit growth and capitalization.

Also on the list was Independence Bank of Georgia, which is headquartered at 6322 Grand Hickory Drive, Suite 300D, in Braselton and has a second location on Green Street in Gainesville. It checked in at No. 20 also scored an A+ in Texas ratio, deposit growth and capitalization.

The Texas ratio “is an indicator of how much capital a bank has available compared to the total value of loans considered at risk.”
