The Gainesville Newcomers Club hosted a Mother’s Day luncheon for the Senior Life Center on May 4 with Gainesville City Manager Bryan Lackey as a special guest.

More than 60 Hall County seniors enjoyed the lunch and the Mother’s Day cake provided by a group of students from the University of North Georgia.

The food was from Longstreet Cafe in Gainesville. The club paid for Joe Forry to entertain during the event. All the volunteers who served the food and interacted with the seniors were GNC members.
