Chick-fil-A in Gainesville is accepting donations for a closet of supplies for foster care families through April 2.

Kate Lovell is heading up Westminster Church PCA’s “It is Well” foster care closet.

“We are here to serve every agency,” said Lovell, who is fostering two babies with her husband, Matt.

The restaurant is offering a free Ice Dream cone to anyone who shows a worker their donation of diapers, underwear, socks, bottles, leak-proof sippy cups or water bottles before dropping it in a bucket near where customers line up to place their orders. Chick-fil-A began receiving the donations on Saturday.

The restaurant is located at 805 Dawsonville Highway NW and is open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday-Saturday.

People can also call ahead to Lovell at 678-630-0518 to schedule a time to deliver donations at Westminster at 1397 Thompson Bridge Road.

Any gently used item that is in good condition can be donated at the church.
