A Gainesville man is accused of trying to meet a child for sex.

Authorities say the man, Jesus Gilberto Luna, 22, sent graphic sexual messages and a photo of his genitals to someone he believed to be a child. The Multi Agency Narcotics Squad and the Georgia Internet Crimes Against Children task force worked on the investigation.

They say he then went to a location on Browns Bridge Road on Wednesday “for the purpose of having sexual activity with a person he believed to be a child under the age of 16,” according to Hall County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Derreck Booth. Luna was arrested at that location.

He is charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of a child and one count of furnishing obscene material to a child.

He was booked in to the Hall County Jail, where he is being held without bond.

The case is still under investigation.
