Two men were flown to Atlanta's Grady Memorial Hospital in two separate single-vehicle wrecks Sunday.

Another person involved in one of the two wrecks was treated at a local hospital for injuries that were not considered life-threatening, said Hall County Fire and Emergency Medical Services Chief David Kimbrell.

The first wreck occurred just south of Murrayville on Ga. 60, also known as Thompson Bridge Road, at the highway's intersection with Twin Oaks Lane shortly after 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

One person, described only as a male who had been ejected from the vehicle in the crash, was flown to Grady with a head injury, Kimbrell said.

The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the incident. An operator at the Gainesville patrol post provided few details Sunday afternoon.

Then, at about 2 p.m. Sunday, another vehicle hit an embankment on Bird Road, just off Thompson Bridge Road, injuring two people.

A male, who had been trapped in the vehicle following the wreck, was flown to Grady Hospital with a head injury.

A female involved was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with less serious injuries, Kimbrell said.

The Georgia State Patrol is also investigating that incident. The trooper investigating the Bird Road incident couldn't be reached for comment Sunday.
