Miss Rebecca Lynne Rigel and Mr. Christopher Ross Donald were united in marriage at 6 p.m. June 7, 2008, at Duke Chapel, Duke University in Durham, N.C. The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Ed Rigel of Gainesville The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Donald of Blacksburg, Va.

The Rev. Craig Kocher performed the ceremony. Organist Dr. David Arcus and vocalist the Rev. Matt Rawle presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride's friend Dr. Sydney Montesi of Boston was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride's friends Miss Lee Ann Petty of Birmingham, Ala., Miss Emily Wilson of San Franciso and the Rev. Wendy Chrostek of Waterford, Mich., and the groom's sister Miss Megan Donald of Burlington, N.C.

The groom's father was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom's friends Mr. Whit Ellerman of Roanoke, Va., Mr. Steve Rummell of New York City and the Rev. Scott Chrostek of Waterford and the bride's brother Mr. Ed Rigel of Cumming. Mrs. Lindley Curtis and Dr. Jenny Bruggers were greeters.

Miss Mollie Keel was the wedding coordinator.

The bride carried a sixpence given to her by Mrs. Nell Weigand, her baptism bonnet, her grandfather's Bible and two pins in memory of the groom's grandmothers.

The groom's parents gave a rehearsal dinner at Parizade in Durham on the eve of the wedding.

The bride's parents gave a reception at Duke Gardens in Durham following the ceremony.

Following a honeymoon to the wine country in California, the couple reside in Richmond, Va.
