Shannan and Victor “Shep” Caldwell Jr.

Shannan Irvin Huff and Victor “Shep” Lane Caldwell Jr. were united in marriage on Sept. 6, 2013, at Bistro on the Marsh in Kennebunkport, Maine. The bride is the daughter of Marion Richard “Dicky” Huff Sr. and Faith Ham Huff of Gainesville. She is the granddaughter of Nadine I. Ham of Gainesville and the late Mark M. Ham III, the late Richard Huff and the late Carolyn Huff Thomas. The groom is the son of Victor Lane Caldwell Sr. of Bolingbroke and Mittie McKinney Smith of Jekyll Island. He is the grandson of Judith H. Caldwell of Macon and the late Robert D. Caldwell, the late Mildred I. Smith, the late Edward G. McKinney and the late Faye L. McKinney.

The Rev. Jim Anderson performed the ceremony. Saxophonist Bill McDonald, the bride’s uncle, presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride’s sister Michele Huff Reiboldt was matron of honor.

The groom’s father was the best man. The bride’s nephews Hudson James Reiboldt of Marietta and Porter Irvin Reiboldt of Marietta were the ring bearers. The bride’s brother Marion Richard Huff Jr. was an usher.

Readers were the bride’s cousin Bailey McDonald Cheek and the groom’s sister Amanda Caldwell Reynolds.

A piece of lace from the wedding veil of the bride’s mother was sewn into her garter and a piece of lace from the groom’s mother was pinned to the bride’s wedding dress.

The bride’s parents gave a reception at Bistro on the Marsh in Kennebunkport, Maine, following the ceremony.

The couple reside in Charleston, S.C.
