Mary Katherine Gainey and Patrick Joseph Frees were united in marriage at 1 p.m. March 15, 2008. The bride is the daughter of Al and Ann Gainey of Gainesville. The groom is the son of Brenda Adams and Chuck Frees, both of Chattanooga, Tenn.
The bride's grandfather the Rev. Roy Beckham and the Rev. Jerry Harwood performed the ceremony. Organist Keith Jeffcoat, trumpeter Greg Holland and a string trio with Elizabeth Jobson, Alice Swope and Emese Vas presented a program of wedding music.
The bride was presented in marriage by her parents. The bride's friend Dallas Thompson of Gainesville was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride's friend Sarah Garot of Chattanooga, the groom's sister Shelley Greco of Atlanta and the bride's friend April Daniels of Chattanooga. The couple's friend Addison Burns-Shattuck of Chattanooga was the flower girl.
The groom's father was the best man. The bride's brother Elliott Gainey of Gainesville was the groomsman. The groom's nephew Gabriel Greco of Atlanta was the ring bearer. Ushers were Earl Beckham, Brandon Cockrell and Zak Aluisa.
Libby Beckham kept the bride's book. Ashley Cockrell was the program attendant. Erica Cain and Emily Jones were Scripture readers.
The bride wore a gold ring given to her by her aunt Martha Hinson.
Following a honeymoon to St. Lucia, the couple reside in Chattanooga.
