Smokin' Buffalo Stars

Sliced, smoked gouda

Buffalo chicken, sliced thin (from the deli counter)

Buffalo wing sauce

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Roll out the pizza crust onto a large cookie sheet covered in parchment paper.

Bake for 5 minutes.

Remove crust from oven and use cookie cutters to cut star shapes into dough. Do not remove shapes; put crust back in the oven for another 10 minutes.

When crust is ready, carefully remove shapes, making sure to keep them intact.

Use the star cookie cutter to cut star shapes out of each gouda slice. Place on top of the crust shapes.

Cut chicken slices into thin strips, placing one strip, folded, on each star.

Drizzle with a little bit of Buffalo wing sauce. Serve.

If you would like a hot appetizer, you can also place the cheese slices, chicken and buffalo sauce on top of the crust after it has baked for five minutes. Bake an additional 10 minutes; cut into squares.

 

Hot Date Hors D'oeuvres

1 store-bought tube pizza crust

Goat cheese

Cream cheese

Jalapenos

Fresh dates

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Roll out the pizza crust onto a large cookie sheet covered in parchment paper.

Bake for 5 minutes.

Remove crust from oven and use cookie cutters to cut shapes into dough. Do not remove shapes; put crust back in the oven for another 10 minutes.

While crust is baking, whip together goat cheese and cream cheese. Put in a pastry bag, or a durable plastic baggie with a hole cut in one corner.

Cut dates and jalapenos into thin slices.

When crust is ready, carefully remove shapes, making sure to keep them intact.

Pipe goat cheese mixture in a swirled pattern over each shape.

Place one date slice and one jalapeno slice on top. Serve.

If you would like a hot appetizer, you can also place the cheese mixture, jalapenos and dates on top of the crust after it has baked for five minutes. Bake an additional 10minutes; cut into squares.
