Cornell University’s Bean Woo of Buford has been placed on the Dean’s List of the College of Arts and Sciences for Excellence in Scholarship for the Spring 2012 semester.

To qualify for the honor, a student must have earned a minimum 3.5 grade point average out of a possible 4.0 while attempting at least 12 credit hours of coursework. The Dean’s List is the highest academic recognition given by the school at the end of each semester.
Jeremiah O’Driscoll of Braselton was named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2012 semester at Washington University in St. Louis. O’Driscoll graduated May 18 from the university’s School of Engineering and Applied Science. To qualify for the Dean’s List in the School of Engineering & Applied Science, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.6 or above and be enrolled in at least 12 graded units.
Buford resident and Azusa Pacific University student Quinten Reiff made the academic Dean’s List at APU. Reiff is honored for a spring semester 2012 academic standing of a 3.5 or better grade-point average. A Cinematic Arts: Production Major, Reiff is joined by 1,650 other students receiving the same honor.

Spring Arbor University is pleased to announce that Timothy Harbison of Gainesville was named to the Spring 2012 Academic Honors List. The Academic Honors List recognizes full-time students who have received a grade point average of 3.7 or higher for the semester. Part-time students must receive a 3.7 GPA for the semester and carry a cumulative 3.7 GPA.
Eric Anthony Eck of Buford Named to Wofford College’s Dean’s List for the Spring 2012 Semester. To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must be enrolled for at least 12 semester hours of graded courses and attain a semester grade point average of 3.6 or higher.
Auburn University at Montgomery named Elizabeth Brandon, who is majoring in General Business, to the Dean’s List for the School of Business. Brandon is originally from Hoschton.
Ouachita Baptist University named Matt McMillan of Gainesville to the Deans List for Spring semester 2012. The students will receive a certificate of recognition from Ouachita and will be included in the National Deans List for 2011-12. To be named to the Deans List, a student must compile at least a 3.5 grade point average and be classified as a full-timestudent, with a minimum of 12 academic hours.
Georgia Southern University recently recognized 2,398 students on the 2012 Spring Semester Dean’s List. Jay Bostwick, a Construction Management major from Flowery Branch has been named to the list for excellence in academics. To be eligible for the Dean’s List, a student must have at least a 3.50 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.
