Brenau University students were awarded for academic excellence and achievement during Honors Convocation April 16:

  • Tatiana Ayala of Gainesville, a 2015 student with a major in fashion merchandising, won the Senior Award in Fashion Merchandising.
  • Hannah Bailey of Flowery Branch, a 2015 student with a major in early childhood education, won the Outstanding Future Teacher Award.
  • Amy Caine of Gainesville, a 2015 student with a major in secondary education, won the Outstanding Future Teacher Award.
  • Amanda Chapell of Cleveland, a 2015 student with a major in special education, won the Outstanding Future Teacher Award.
  • Stephanie Daniell of Gainesville, a 2015 student with a major in biology, won the William Randolph Hearst Endowed Scholarship.
  • Lauren Gooch of Nicholson, a 2015 student with a major in nursing, won the Carter H. Estes Award.
  • Bethany Green of Gainesville, a 2018 student with a major in health science, won the Honors Seminar Award.
  • Kyunti James-Thorpe of Gainesville, a 2015 student with a major in biology, won the William and Augusta Schrage Scholarship and was a Baxter-Bryan Nominee.
  • Kayla Madsen of Gainesville, a 2015 student with a major in mass communication, won the Transformation Award for Mass Communications.
  • Rachael McBride of Gainesville, a 2015 student with a major in nursing, won the Honors Graduation Award.
  • Savannah Romans of Jefferson, a 2018 student with a major in marketing, won the Ada Little Scholarship for Business.
  • Chelsea Schultz of Gainesville, a 2017 student with a major in health science, pre-nursing, won the HGH Sally Ann Scott Scholarship.
  • Marissa Stephens of Braselton, a 2015 student with a major in English, won the Outstanding Graduating Senior in English.
  • Madison Strickland of Flowery Branch, a 2015 student with a major in biology, won the Honors Graduation Award.
