There will soon be one more place to get a coffee fix in Gainesville.

Scooter’s Coffee, a Nebraska-based drive-thru kiosk, is slated to open in February on Browns Bridge Road, between Havertys and Inn-Between Deli.

An official opening date has not been released.

Scooter’s Coffee

Slated to open: February

Where: 2010 Browns Bridge Road, Gainesville

When: 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily

The outpost will be one of six locations in Georgia, with others operating Gray, Marietta, Rome and Roswell and a Winder location to open soon.

Alongside Scooter’s signature Caramelicious — caramel sauce, espresso, and frothed milk served hot or over ice and topped with whipped cream and caramel drizzle — the menu features other iced coffees, teas, smoothies, burritos and breakfast sandwiches, such as the everything bagel sandwich. On the sweeter side are birthday cake and red velvet bites.

In a statement emailed to The Times, the company said its locations are chosen by a number of factors, including community.

“A lot of times, the franchisees have a connection to the community. Other times, we see that a community shares our core values. But no matter what the case may be, we see a need for specialty coffee in your area,” the statement said.
