Tammy Martin of Gainesville announces the engagement of her daughter Brittany LeighAnne Martin to Channing Timothy Cain, son of Janice Grindle of Gainesville and the late Terry Cain.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Robert and Cathy Martin of Gainesville and the late Carol Martin.

She is a 2006 graduate of Chestatee High School in Gainesville. She is employed as a rehabilitation aide with Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Bessie and James Cain and Bobby and Patricia Grindle, all of Gainesville.

He is a 2005 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville. He is employed as a firefighter with the Gainesville City Fire Department in Gainesville.

The couple plan to wed Oct. 16, 2010 at Walters Farm in Lula.
