Based on a humorous book from 1952, “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” will entertain theatergoers for the next two weekends in Clarkesville.

The winner of a Pulitzer Prize award in drama centers on a young window cleaner, J. Pierrepont Finch, who begins a meteoric rise at the World-Wide Wicket Company. He starts in the mailroom and works his way to the top, ultimately ending up a vice president of advertising.

Finch’s unorthodox and morally questionable business practices jeopardize not only his career, but his romance with his secretary, Rosemary Pilkington.

To see what happens to the young man head to Habersham Community Theater, 1370 Washington St., in Clarkesville.

Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. July 30-31 and Aug. 1 and 6-8; and 2 p.m. Aug. 2 and 9.

Tickets are $18 and may be purchased at www.habershamtheater.org.

“How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” inspired a successful 1961 musical of the same name, which was made into a movie in 1967.
