Sights and sounds of the pioneer days can be seen and heard at Fort Hollingsworth-White House this weekend in Banks County.

The annual Day at the Fort will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 24, at 2307 Wynn Lake Road in Alto. Activities include tours of the pioneer fort as well as a Civil War re-enactment at 1:30 p.m.

Musical acts playing gospel, country and bluegrass throughout the day include Keith Chambers & Family, Silver Strings and Crystal River Bluegrass Band. The square-dancing group Currahee Squares will perform at 1 p.m. and 2:25 p.m.

Other events include storytelling at 11:50 a.m. and a car show with awards being presented at 2:15 p.m. Food will also be available at the free event.
