North Georgia residents can see men re-enacting a Civil War battle during annual Day at the Fort activities in Alto. The event is Saturday at Fort Hollingsworth-White House.
Sights and sounds of the pioneer days can be seen and heard at Fort Hollingsworth-White House this weekend in Banks County. The annual Day at the Fort will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 24, at 2307 Wynn Lake Road in Alto. Activities include tours of the pioneer fort as well as a Civil War re-enactment at 1:30 p.m. Musical acts playing gospel, country and bluegrass throughout the day include Keith Chambers & Family, Silver Strings and Crystal River Bluegrass Band.
