Kaylan Bradley, of the Junior League of Gainesville-Hall County, prices various pieces of furniture Tuesday morning inside the Brenau University Downtown Center, the former Georgia Mountains Center, in preparation for the annual Thrift Sale.

Deemed Hall County’s largest garage sale, the Junior League of Gainesville-Hall County’s annual Thrift Sale will have items ranging from furniture, electronics and housewares to toys and children’s clothing.

The annual event will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Brenau Downtown Center, formerly the Georgia Mountains Center. Admission is $1.

All items are collected by Junior League members and sold at reasonable prices.

“This annual event raises money for Junior League’s community initiatives, which support and promote the well-being of children and families, and it provides people the opportunity to shop for some great items at really affordable prices,” said Katie Crumley, 2013 thrift sale co-chair. “All proceeds from the sale go back into the community.”

Those who want to shop early can from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, for $5. Plus, all items are double priced.

All transactions are cash only. Organizers ask shoppers not to bring bags or strollers.
