A family farm winery will celebrate the 2016 vintage season with seven weekends in a row of live music, barbecue and wine tasting.
The annual Swine Wine weekend will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and 12:30-5 p.m. Sunday at Three Sisters Vineyards. The free weekend event will run from Sept. 17 through Oct. 30 at 439 Vineyard Way in Dahlonega.
The events will include special tastings of Three Sisters’ famous Fat Boy wines. Food, wine and Georgia beer are extra.
Pitmaster Dale Thornton of South 40 BBQ and Pitmaster Joseph Martin of AngelFire7 BBQ are scheduled to present the award-winning barbecue. Food trucks such as Atlanta’s Mac The Cheese and Scratch Cuisine will bring farm fresh foods and Southern cuisine on selected weekends throughout the month.
“This is our annual harvest time celebration where we put some smoke in the air,” Three Sisters organizer Doug Paul said. “And this year we have some really great food trucks and Pitmasters coming to offer Farm To Table foods to pair with our famous swine wines Fat Boy Red, White and Pink.”
Live jazz, folk and Americana will be performed on the Crush Pad Deck or The Rustic Barn every Saturday and Sunday. Entertainers will be The Shuffle Junkies, Rick Harris Jazz, Moose & Squirrel, Tommie Macon Jazz, Mossy Creek Gypsies and The Coteries.
The celebration will culminate with the 16th annual HalloWINE Hoot Nanny at the end of October.
