North Georgia residents wanting to explore the great beyond through astronomy may attend “Journey through the Stars for Families” this winter at Sandy Creek Nature Center. The Athens-Clarke County Department of Leisure Services will present the program “A Planet for Goldilocks” from 3-4 p.m. Saturday at 205 Old Commerce Road. Other monthly programs will follow, including “Animals in the Sky” from 10–11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8 Preregistration is required by Friday by calling 706-613-3615.
