Sandy Creek Nature Center hosts monthly programs

North Georgia residents wanting to explore the great beyond through astronomy may attend “Journey through the Stars for Families” this winter at Sandy Creek Nature Center.

The Athens-Clarke County Department of Leisure Services will present the program “A Planet for Goldilocks” from 3-4 p.m. Saturday at 205 Old Commerce Road.

Other monthly programs will follow, including “Animals in the Sky” from 10–11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8

Preregistration is required by Friday by calling 706-613-3615.

The cost is $7 for an Athens-Clarke County family and $10 for a non-Athens-Clarke County family.
